Toronto, Ontario–(Newsfile Corp. – April 9, 2024) – Champion Electric Metals Inc. (CSE: LTHM) (OTCQB: CHELF) (ESF: 1QB0) (“Champion Electric” or the “Company”) is pleased to report that it found a lithium-mineralized pegmatite* in its first drilling program at the lithium assets in James Bay, Quebec (the “Property”). The first intersection originated from a diamond core (see Figure 1) located approximately 480 meters upstream of the past reported to a pattern containing thousands of spodumene grains and several blocks of spodumene mineralized pegmatite (see press release of December 18, 2023). The mineral formula remains open to the northeast.
During the drilling of the EIQ24-007 hole, the Champion Electric team intersected approximately 19. 1 m of spodumene pegmatite between 7. 30 and 26. 40 m depth, under 6. 0 m of overburden. Experienced geologists used visual and soft UV strategies to check for the presence of spodumene and checked it again. the identity of the mineral after sharing photographic evidence with the entire team (see Figures 3-4).

Based on the limited spatial and geological data from this first borehole, it is not yet imaginable to determine the true thickness or orientation of pegmatite. The team is modifying the drill schedule to monitor the intersection and be more informed about the scale and geometry of the drill. Drill samples are sent to the lab for confirmatory lithium investigation. More main points about the new occurrence will be shared once the program is complete and the insights from the research are obtained and processed. The drilling program will be temporarily halted in the coming days. due to the breakout of spring and the annual goose hunting season from April 20 to May 20.
Given the extensive glacial and alluvial soil cover of the Property, this initial result demonstrates that sampling is an effective exploration tool in this environment. The company is awaiting additional results from the sampling program through 2023 and plans to expand the study in the next box. season.
“This is a vital day for Champion. We have located at least one source of mineralized pegmatite samples on our property. This is surprisingly exciting, given our location between two pegmatite discoveries under development (Patriot Battery Metals’ Corvette project and Winsome Resources’ Cancet) and “less than 350 m from the Trans-Taiga Highway, available for all stations, and next to Hydro Québec’s power lines,” said Jonathan Buick, president and CEO. “Months of hard work paid off over the Easter weekend with what could result in a very rare and indeed blind mineral, located in a pristine environment. More importantly, we have shown that spodumene pegmatite can hide under a shallow cover, very close to fractured rock outcrops. “
*Disclaimer: The Company cautions that visual estimates of mineral abundance should never be considered as a replacement or replacement for laboratory research where concentrations or grades are the primary factor of economic interest. Visual estimates also do not potentially provide any data related to impurities or destructive physical properties applicable to assessments. The presence of spodumene-containing pegmatite rock does not necessarily imply the presence of economic concentrations of lithium, or other components such as cesium-tantalum (CTL) mineralization. Laboratory chemical research up to the degree of mineralization is required. .
