Ferrari has appointed its top green agent in the UK as the Italian logo steps up its green plans.

Last year, the Prancing Horse saw its hybrid models outsell their gasoline counterparts for the first time, as the company looks forward to a more environmentally friendly future.

To do this, the company has rewarded its resellers who adopt a strategy.

Vertu Motors Group’s Carrs Ferrari Exeter, which has been named the UK’s best eco-friendly dealer by Ferrari Northern Europe, came out on top.

This popularity reflects Carrs Ferrari’s committed projects to reduce its environmental footprint, adding the implementation of a complex energy and water tracking system, designed to achieve a significant target of 10% annual relief in energy and water consumption.

The smart system allows for real-time tracking and management of energy consumption, highlighting Carrs Ferrari’s proactive approach to resource conservation.

Elsewhere, dealership Devon has also invested in rooftop solar panels, a key to its strategy to generate green electricity on-site, reducing reliance on classic energy sources.

Carrs Ferrari’s efforts even translate into a comprehensive Employee Green Engagement program, where colleagues learn energy-saving practices, fostering a culture of environmental awareness and action in the workplace.

The retailer’s commitment to sustainability is also evident in its powerful recycling program, which ensures the control and reduction of culprit waste.

Commenting on the win, Robert Forrester, CEO of Vertu Motors, said: “We are proud of Carrs Ferrari Exeter for being recognised as the UK’s Best Green Dealer through Ferrari Northern Europe.

“This popularity is a testament to our unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and our pursuit of sustainable practices.

“Vertu Motors believes in leading by example and Carrs Ferrari’s projects underline our commitment to a greener future. “
