At approximately 7:10 a. m. on March 13, Halton police responded to a report of a Ford Explorer being stolen from a driveway at Burloak Drive and Sutton Drive. A Ford F150 watched following the stolen vehicle.
Officers approached Appleby Line and initiated a brief chase, which ended for public safety reasons.
Subsequently, at approximately 7:15 a. m. , Halton police won a report of a motor vehicle twist involving a Ford F150 and a Ford Explorer at the intersection of Guelph Line and Upper Middle Road in Burlington.
As a result of the collision, five linked to the vehicles tried to flee the scene, but three were arrested.
Before police arrived, the fourth suspect attacked the driver of a silver Volkswagen Jetta, who had pulled up near the crash site, with a knife in his hand.
The suspects then stole the Jetta and fled. The driver of the Jetta suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
Both cars involved in the collision were stolen.

Halton police are investigating a carjacking incident that took place in the morning at Upper Middle Road and Guelph Line.
They are for a silver Volkswagen Jetta that has been hijacked.
Halton Regional Police Media Officer Cst. Jeff Dillon showed that a stolen Ford F150 and the vehicle attached to it were involved in a collision at a busy intersection around 7:15 a. m. March 13.
It appears that two suspects from one of the cars hijacked a second vehicle at the intersection.
Dillon said the user suffered minor injuries after being struck by the suspect who was carrying a knife.
Three of the four suspects were arrested by police at the scene, police said, a fourth is still missing, along with the civilian’s vehicle.
The civilian was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Dillon said.
Two of the suspects were juveniles in the crash.
Upper Middle Road was closed to westbound traffic on the Guelph Line during the investigation.
