Car dealership returns Hyundai logo to Wigan with new investment

Car dealership Chorley Group has returned the Hyundai logo to Wigan.

This is time for three new Hyundai businesses planned across the group, with the third launching in Ormskirk later this year.

The Hyundai dealership will be in a newly acquired building on Miry Lane, formerly known as Bravo Auto & First Class Motors, purchased from the Inchcape Group.

Hyundai Wigan has a five-bay workshop and a central virtual management centre. Over the next few months, Chorley Group will execute projects to expand the site, creating more task opportunities.

The opening follows the recent finishing touch of a major redevelopment of the Chorley Group’s Lancashire centre, Ormskirk, where Peugeot joined Vauxhall and its expansion in Blackpool, which has seen Peugeot and MG return to the Fylde coast.

Adam Turner, chief executive of Chorley Group, said: “The last few weeks have been an exciting and incredibly busy time for the organisation as we have opened up those new experiential destinations.

“Our main goal has been to make sure that our consumers are well taken care of and that we provide them with exactly what they want. “

He added: “Bringing Hyundai back to Wigan is a testament to our commitment to bringing world-class brands to our cities. Wigan is a city close to our hearts, and our existing operations at Nissan and Citroën are among those in the United Kingdom.

“We are confident that this new location will thrive in the unwavering Wigan market and have a positive effect on our consumers in the region. “

Chorley Group operates 21 franchises and employs people.
