A brave mother in Delhi fought two motorcycle kidnappers from her four-year-old daughter on Tuesday. The whole incident captured on a CCTV camera.
Photographs showed that the mother had succeeded in thwarting the abduction offer of the men allegedly sent through her brother-in-law, according to an PTI report. Police said the woman’s brother-in-law had sent kidnappers to kidnap the child to extort her in cash. The incident took a stand in east Delhi.
The alleged mastermind along with his associate were later arrested by police. The uncle of the minor girl who had planned to kidnap her told police during interrogation that he was in debt and planned to extort money from his brother who owns a garment store.
He had to kidnap his niece to extort 30 to 35 rupees lakh from his brother, police said.
“However, the plan failed and he was arrested wednesday,” a senior police official said.
CCTV footage showed the mother fighting two kidnappers and saving her daughter from kidnapping. You may notice it by pulling your daughter out of the clutches and then pushing the motorcyclist. The two-wheeled vehicle fell to the ground and the passenger began to run. The cyclist then rushes up the bike.
One of the woman’s neighbors noticed that he was chasing the defendant. Another neighbor parked his scooter in the middle of the road to block the road and catch them. Both, however, controlled escape.
Video of the incident went viral on social media.
The victim complained to the police. Police arrived at the scene and discovered that the kidnappers had left a motorcycle and a bag. The bag contained a locally made pistol with 4 active cartridges.
According to the police version, the defendant went to the woman’s house at four o’clock in the afternoon. and asked for water. When the girl’s mother went to bring water, they tried to get the child out. But the woman saw it and thwarts the kidnapping offer.
Police said the investigation was found to have a fake license plate. The defendants had been doing reconnaissance for a week, police said, and showed their presence in the domain two days ago.
