Fresh from its first full year on the market, the Cadillac XT6 returns by 2021 with some smooth upgrades and a value reduction, if you need to see it that way.
The automaker said Tuesday that the XT6 would now start at $49,985, thanks to the new deluxe edition. Previously, the cheapest XT6 was the Premium Luxury edition with a $53,690 label. All values come with a $995 target payment. The new entry-level edition is intended to make it available to more buyers entering the high-end SUV market, Cadillac said.
Another new feature is a popular 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, which accompanies the XT6 Luxury. It develops 237 horsepower and operates with a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is also available as an option. Meanwhile, other XT6 models still space a 3.6-liter V6 that reaches 310 hp.
Those who contemplate the XT6 will receive a complete list of popular devices. Even the new basic edition includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen, now with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless stand, heated seats, 18-inch wheels and an electric tailgate. Drivers will also have a set of popular (finally) active protective devices including automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, and front and rear parking sensors. The Cadillac rear camera mirror is available, along with some other driving force assist features.
Cadillac uses its Y-cutting strategy, which allows buyers to decide on a more sporty or more sumptuous feel. High-end luxury and luxurious embellishments feature bright embellishments and wood décor inside, while a Sport style features black external accents and carbon fiber embellishments inside.
Cadillac will begin shipping the 2021 XT6 to dealerships this fall, where it will accompany many other luxury SUVs, such as the redesigned 2021 Escalade.
