A speeding car driven through a businessman ran over a man walking on the road in South Delhi’s defence colony on October 9, police said.
Police said they obtained reports of a blood-covered frame on a trail near Defense Colony’s rush hour around 7:30 p. m. on Sunday.
The victim was taken to the AIIMS trauma centre where she was pronounced dead, said Chandan Chaudhary, deputy commissioner of the South Delhi Police.
The senior police officer said a team of criminals began analyzing CCTV footage and discovered that a Skoda car coming near Moolchand had hit the victim before fleeing.

Police said that due to the incessant rain in Delhi over the weekend, it was difficult to identify the registration number, colour and style of the car. The team followed the direction of the car and discovered a blurry symbol of the vehicle and its license plate. , and with the help of the car company, they were able to locate the owner.
The police arrived in Model Town in North Delhi, where they discovered the car, covered, in the parking lot of a building. Garvit Singhal, 28, was arrested, according to police, running a branch. His friend, Raunak Jain, who co-passenger in the car also arrested.
