Originally from San Diego, Glover’s motorcycling adventure began when he was just nine years old and took a big step forward when he started racing at age 13. Although monetary difficulties hampered his early racing efforts, Glover was obviously a standout competitor and led him into the professional ranks. when I was just 16 years old.

After his promising rookie campaign, Glover signed a professional contract with Yamaha in 1977 and remained with the logo for the rest of his illustrious racing career. In his first 3 seasons with the logo, Glover competed in 3 AMA 125cc Motocross National Championships and the first. driver to win 3 consecutive titles in the class. During that race, Glover also scored a victory at the 125cc United States Grand Prix at the former headquarters of Mid-Ohio Moto Park in Lexington, Ohio. . . just a few miles from Mid-Ohio Moto Park. Ohio Sports Car Course, where the VMD is held annually.

Glover ascended to 500cc elegance in 1981 and was not short of pace, winning 3 more titles in 1981, 1983 and 1985. Glover retired in 1989 and finished his career with 50 very good wins in AMA National Motocross.
