Brandon Aiyuk and Dee Ford injured in 49ers practice

SANTA CLARA, California (AP) – The San Francisco 49ers saw two key players leave practice early Sunday with rookie catcher Brandon Aiyuk and runner Dee Ford suffering lower body injuries.

There are no quick data on the extent of the lesions.

Aiyuk grabbed the back of his left leg after completing a team deep pass exercise and did not return. Arizona State’s first-round pick was one of the most impressive players at the start of the camp and is expected to be a big contributor this season.

The Niners have already been affected by the injuries to the catcher, as the initial player Deebo Samuel left the education field with a damaged foot that can force him to waste time at the beginning of the season. Jalen Hurd broke his anterior cruciate ligament during camp and will be lost all year round and Richie James Jr. will miss the start of the season after breaking his wrist during off-season education.

Ford was injured earlier in education when he came limping after a one-on-one career exercise. The running shoes worked on his leg for a while and he didn’t come back either.

Ford was held back by injuries last season when he played less than a quarter of the defensive shots for the Niners. It had 6 1/2 catches in that limited time and is expected to be a major component of the team’s defense.

Inmate Ross Reynolds was also injured in 11-on-11 exercises. They had to take him out of the box in a car and the entire organization of the offensive line went out to the box to give him his most productive wishes.

“I hope it’s not as bad as it looked,” said the right version of Mike McGlinchey. “It’s obviously very, very hard to see when one of our favorite guys like that collapses.”

The Niners celebrated their fourth consecutive day of padded education on Sunday as the team attempts to return to the track after a virtual low season and a vanquished start due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

San Francisco has a day off scheduled for Monday before 4 other padded practices scheduled as of Tuesday at the last component of an abbreviated educational camp.

The 49ers had already lost two key players due to injury in the camp and half Ben Garland was expected to miss a few weeks by a sprained ankle and cornerer K’Waun Williams would be a few weeks away from a calf injury.

The defensive star Nick Bosa also missed his moment on a consecutive practice day for any express injury and corner Richard Sherman had a day off on Sunday.
