Home ‘Racing’ BMW heads to Lausitzring this weekend for the DTM stage

The DTM despite everything resumed its activities last weekend with a level maintained through the iconic Spa-Francorchamps track. Unfortunately, BMW hasn’t done very well there, but hopes are high for the next level, which will be held this weekend at Lausitzring. The Spa occasion was complicated for BMW drivers in many ways, basically because not everyone had the ability to run there before. As a result, learning the spins has had negative consequences. In fact, it probably wouldn’t be the same for Lausitzring.

In fact, the German track will host two occasions, for two consecutive weekends, but the layout of the track will be changed. The BMW DTM’s driving forces first hit the track with their BMW M4 DTM on the 3,478-kilometre circuit. The following week, the third time of the season will take place in the longest variant of 4,570 km. The driving force of the BMW DTM Philipp Eng holds the lap record of 1: 37,897 minutes for this longest track.

“It will be a desirable challenge, as we’ve never noticed before in the DTM. After the season opens at Spa-Francorchamps, where we do not meet our expectations, we are now on the hunt for the next races. we have analyzed the disorders and are working hard for our overall offer.

We have noticed at Spa-Francorchamps that we are very well located in terms of reliability and more sensitive speed. Now we want the overall speed, either in qualifying and race distance,” said Jens Marquardt, Director of BMW Group Motorsport.

Between the two racing weekends, BMW Team RBM and BMW Team RMG will remain at Lausitzring. They will take out the revisions of the BMW M4 DTM, which are required after the event, on the site. Let’s hope the groups and the drivers do better this time and earn some points.
