BMW, the newest car logo to sell online

BMW has joined other luxury car brands Audi and Mercedes-Benz, such as major car manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Subaru and Kia, to announce a new online vehicle sales platform in Australia.

However, so far, you can only purchase an electrified style, the BMW 530th plug-in hybrid sedan, from the comfort of your living room.

Priced at $112,900 before road costs, the giant phEV luxury sedan is the most suitable style to start the process, SAID BMW Australia spokesman Nick Raman in Carsales, as the logo focuses on electric mobility and sustainability.

BMW has sold 69 examples of the 530e to date.

Customers can book their new vehicle at bmw’s store in just 4 steps: style selection, paint selection, end selection and desired dealership.

After paying a down payment, a tool can be adapted to recently inventoryed models at dealerships to speed up the delivery process or order the vehicle at the factory.

BMW Australia says the service will be expanded to offer other models and new features in the future, however, Raman says it is unclear whether the full diversity of models will be available online.

As for how BMW will be affected by the change, Raman says the reaction has been positive.

“We have [your] complete and it’s a collaborative initiative,” he said.

“Dealers will interact and paint the process with the visitor, adding delivery and collection.”
