Home ‘Models’ BMW M8 ‘The BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupé via AC Schnitzer is much more unpleasant
August 24, 2020/2 minutes of reading
After trying the BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupé, I learned that it was a wonderful car, but that it needed a little more excitement. It’s too serene for a car of more than six hundred horses. However, AC Schnitzer turns out to have a cure for so much serenity, with its new adjustment kit.
Let’s start with the force. Under the hood of the BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupé series is a 4.4-litre twin-engine V8 that produces a force of 625 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. With a small AC Schnitzer massage, this same V8 produces 720 horsepower.850 Nm (626 lb-ft). In other words, enough to put the M8 into orbit.
It is also a little more fruity, thanks to a new escape system with logo. This new exhaust also has the possibility to choose from 3 other exhaust tips; Sport, Carbon Sport and Sport Black.
To be honest, it’s no use if the M8 is rarely more exciting. The popular car is already ballistic, so expanding speed would probably not do much.Fortunately, AC Schnitzer turns out to have an idea about it. The AC Schnitzer BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupé receives a reduced suspension of 20 mm with a new suspension kit and springs, so it behaves better than the popular car, hopefully this will make the M8 sharper and a little more lively to drive.
However, it would not be a smart AC Schnitzer product if it didn’t look like the part.Fortunately, that’s the case. A new carbon fiber front separator, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a rear spoiler combine to make it more competitive than the popular car. It also features lightweight 21-inch AC3 Evo forged rims.
Making it a little sportier inside, AC Schnitzer also offers an aluminum pedal, aluminum gear shift paddles and even an aluminum keychain.
So if you have a BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupé and you don’t find it competitive enough, this AC Schnitzer fit kit could be the trick and give you more strength than a McLaren 720S.
