BMW has introduced the M2 competition in India. Reservations were open in the past and you can now buy one for Rs 79.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The M2 will only be taken in a gasoline variant and brought to the country via the CBU route.
The M2 Competition is powered by a 3-liter in-line six-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 410 hp and 550 Nm of complex torque. All this force and torque is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. All this means that the M2 festival can run from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds before reaching a more electronically limited speed of 250 km/h. It also has 3 driving modes – Comfort, Sport and Sport – that modify other features of the car such as throttle reaction and the ferocity of gear changes. In the feature department, the M2 Competition receives some equipment. Headlights and daytime running lights are a total LED business. It also benefits from assistance with traffic lights, a blessing on Indian roads. Windshield wipers and automatic headlights are also standard. The M2 also receives electronic shutters in its exhaust formula that optimize backpressure for functionality and also produce a smooth exhaust note. The driving force and passenger have electronically controlled seats with reminiscences that serve as a seat for the driving force.
Creature convenience includes automatic air conditioning with two-zone configuration, a 205W (7 speaker) audio configuration, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear view camera. The infotainer formula is BMW’s iDrive formula, which comes with a 6.5-inch screen. There are some optional extras like Harman Kardon 360 W, the 12-speaker audio formula, M Sport seats, an 8.8-inch formula that includes Apple CarPlay and a lot of BMW apps. The wheels are made of 19-inch alloy supplied with 245/265 section Michelin Pilot Sport tires at the front and rear, respectively.
Speaking of safety, the M2 Competition comes with six airbags, ABS with braking assistance, corner braking (CBC), dynamic stability (DSC) and ISOFIX supports.
The M2 Contest can be presented in colours: Alpine White, Black Sapphire (metallic), Long Beach Blue (metallic), Sunset Orange (metallic) and Hockenheim Silver (metallic).
This is the first time BMW has officially introduced the M2 in India and me. It will compete with the Porsche 718 Cayman.
