Home ‘Models’ BMW M2 ‘BMW M2 CS vs Porsche Cayman GTS and Alpine A110 S – Coach
August 15, 2020/2 minutes of reading
BMW’s current functional car is the M2 CS. It is the lightest and strongest edition of the M2, with its carbon roof, car hood, strength and suspension. All this makes the M2 CS the highest productivity BMW on sale. But is that enough for two of the most productive sports cars on the market, the Porsche Cayman GTS and Alpine A110 S? Coach digs up.
In this new three-lane comparison, the BMW M2 CS takes those two cars head-on, on winding roads and the result is interesting.
The Alpine A110 has been considered almost unanimously as the most productive sports car in Europe since its inception and for good reason. However, the A110 S strives too hard to be stiffer and sharper, so it ends up being worse than the popular automobile, which has unmatched balance and fluidity in the industry. Its 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine is the smallest and least rugged in the group, and its seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is also not the most productive. However, it is the lightest of the platoon with a smart margin and a shiny chassis. It’s an amazing sports car.
We all know the BMW M2 CS right now, however, here is a recycling course: 3.0-liter I6 444-horsepower biturp and, in this case, a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It is the maximum resistance of the organization and the fastest in the genuine world, thanks to its turbocharged torque. He is also the monster of control, with maximum brutal attitude and an inclination to tore the rear tires. This is the rogue of this check and tastes completely different from the other two central propulsion cars.
Finally, the Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0 brings a flat six-cylinder herbal suction fixed in the middle with a six-speed manual gearbox. This six-cylinder 4.0-litre flat produces about 400 horsepower and a delicious sound. Porsche has heard court cases of its four-cylinder engines and this flat-six is the cure.
Who wins the check? Well, we may not spoil it, because you deserve to pass by reading Autocar’s check, but, honestly, do you have a hard time getting it?
