EXPANDed BMW Electric Vehicle Battery Plant in Shenyang

The expanded plant is located at the BMW Brilliance factory in Tiexi, Shenyang, northeast China.
As production expands, the expanded center will be the first production site in the world to build BMW’s fifth-generation high-voltage batteries, the automaker said.
The batteries will be first for the BMW iX3 all-electric crossover to be built at the joint venture’s Dadong plant, also in Shenyang. The plant is expected to begin mass production of the iX3 by the end of this month.
To date, BMW has introduced the sale of 4 electric cars produced in China: plug-in hybrid versions of the BMW X1 crossover and BMW Series five sedán, and two crossovers with Zinoro engine: the 1E fully electric and the 60H pluggable. Hybrid.
Zinoro was created in 2013 as the owner of the BMW Brilliance trademark.
