BMW and Audi have closed the A50 lane

Drivers waiting for delays on the A50 were warned after a two-car crash blocked a lane.

The twist of fate occurred at the A50 roundabout leading to Derby Road, Uttoxeter, away from Doveridge and into the city.

Staffordshire police said the incident was two cars: a black BMW and a white Audi.

Police and Roads officers from England were on site, such as the West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Traffic returned to normal on the A50 near Uttoxeter after this afternoon’s crash.

The last turn of fate on the A50 is now solved, but slow traffic remains on the road.

Inrix reports that delays are still visible between Sudbury and Uttoxeter due to the accident, which he reported around 5pm.

A Staffordshire police spokesman said: ‘This is a two-vehicle collision.

“It’s at the roundabout to Uttoxeter from Doveridge before the Esso garage.
