BMW has announced that its 5 Series, Series 7 and X1 models will be available with all-electric models until 2023.
The company will launch a total of 25 electric models by 2023, half of these will be fully electric and the other half will be hybrid.
BMW Group is already one of the leading suppliers of electrified vehicles: until the end of 2021, BMW Group will offer five all-electric production vehicles: the BMW i3, mini Cooper SE, BMW iX3, BMW iNEXT and BMW i4. Another milestone will be the next generation BMW 7 Series. The flagship product of the BMW logo will be featured with 4 other propulsion technologies: with a highly effective diesel or gasoline engine with 48 volt technology, as a plug-in electrified hybrid and, for the first time, as a whole- electric BEV model. The company will have 25 electrified models on the roads until 2023, part of which are all electric.
In addition to the BMW 7 Series, full electrification will be deployed in the diversity of models: Other examples of “power of choice” will be the BMW X1 and bmw 5 Series at maximum volume, which will also be available in the long term with the 4 transmission variants: all electric, plug-in hybrid, diesel and gasoline with 48 volt technology.
