Our latest motorcycle of the week is the Superstrata Classic, a collectively funded road motorcycle with no seat tube and new carbon construction.
Superstrata is the bicycle logo of parent company Arevo, which makes portions of carbon for the aerospace industry for consumers like Airbus.
The motorcycle published in 3D was first funded through the Indiegogo platform.
The Superstrata Classic still sees the light of day at BikeRadar’s headquarters.
Let’s take a look at this original construction.
At the center of the Classic is the “industrial grade” thermoplastic carbon frame.
This is the first time we have come across a thermoplastic frame, with the Starling prototype founded in Bristol, UK, another example.
We asked Superstrata to provide more main points about the use of the generation and the logo claims that it manufactures the motorcycle “using a thermoplastic filament made of carbon fiber and a nylon polymer. “
Virtually all carbon fiber frames are made from an epoxy resin mold, while using thermoplastics produces a more powerful frame that is more impact-resistant and uses less energy to manufacture.
Like classic epoxy-based carbon fiber frames, it is recycled very well, but can be reused when heated.
The end result, according to Superstrata, is a more flexible and flexible bike, while being more resistant to shocks and fractures.
The logo claims that the frames are manufactured in-house according to a proprietary process, a few hundred meters from their 3D printers. The advantage, according to Superstrata, is that you can continuously make changes to achieve optimal frame homes and ease of manufacture. .
The logo also states that you can adjust the individual orientation and angle of each strip to provide a traditional design.
Every fortnight, we’ll give you a detailed first look at one of the last motorcycles (or frames) to arrive at BikeRadar’s headquarters, from road to commuting, gravel and enduro, and everything in between.
This is our ability to show the motorcycle and everything that makes it before hitting the road or trails.

The maximum visual feature of the Superstrata Classic is that it has no saddle tube.
According to the brand, the omission of the saddle tube is “to challenge not only our own technology, but the imaginable in the manufacture of carbon fiber bicycles. “
The logo also claims to save weight, given that a full tube is missing.
When it comes to traditional geometry, Superstrata says consumers enter their dimensions before buying and have an optional step of archiving more measurements “for a better fit. “
The logo claims that its own proprietary software can generate a frame from those measurements and can even feature the optimal length of power and crank, as well as handlebar width.
The frame is designed to weigh around 1. 3kg for unspecified geometry.
Apart from those main features, the frame can settle for a tire up to 700 x forty-five mm.
The fork uses a 1-1/8-inch pivot and the frame and fork use flat-mount disc brakes with 12mm axles.
There’s also an electric version, which includes a motor mounted on a 250W pedalboard that would have a range of about 60 miles/96 km.
The Superstrata Classic, in its non-electric form, retails for $2,800.
Our motorcycle uses an 11-speed gearbox of a combination of brands, with a 1x transmission.
The joysticks and rear derailleur come from the R9 diversity of the Chinese L-Twoo logo, with a Campagnolo-style thumb shift lever used. It is much smaller than the central edition of the Italian organization and is towards the end of the lever body.
RPP supplies the pedals and Sunshine the cassette. The channel is provided via KMC in its X11 variety.
The mechanical disc brakes come from a logo called Pro (although it is not the same as that of Shimano’s subsidiary) and are its 5. 0 Pass model. They avoid 160 mm disc rotors at the front and rear.
The front of the Superstrata is integrated, FSA’s ACR system, which provides a blank aesthetic.
The unbranded road motorcycle wheels have 32 spokes at the front and 36 at the rear, and are wrapped in 700 x 28mm Kenda K193 tires. Superstrata says it can also specify the motorcycle with 700 x 35mm Casumina or 40mm Hutchinson tires, if necessary. Riding on rougher surfaces.
The seatpost is a Controltech ONE SB10, with a Selle Italia Model X BB FEC seat.
All inclusive, our check bike weighs 11. 64 kg pedals.
Lately we are the Superstrata and you can expect a complete overhaul soon.
