A new CEO has been appointed to Bedrock LLC, a Detroit-based real estate company.
Kofi Bonner begins on September 21 and replaces Matt Cullen, who left in July and soon followed seven other executives and employees.
Bonner co-COO of Five Point Holdings LLC (NYSE: FPH), founded in Irvine, California, where he worked on primary projects in San Francisco and elsewhere.
Bonner, 64, is also a former chief executive and executive vice president of the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, the first black user to hold the position. Gilbert, who has a net profit of $56.3 billion, owns the Cleveland Cavaliers and is active in progression in Cleveland.
Bedrock controls the homes of downtown Cleveland, adding Tower City Avenue and the renovated May Co. building.
Bonner will be in Detroit in a moment for Bedrock and this city.
The company continued its progression paintings at the downtown branch of the former J.L. Hudson and others. However, there have been internal disorders in recent years, with the departure of key leaders, and some progressions have been delayed due to a number of factors.

Bonner also owns Bonner Enterprises, a true real estate generation and progression company, according to the press release. His efforts to progress through this company come with projects in San Francisco and Ghana. He is also an affordable housing developer for Oakland Community Housing Inc.; Emeryville, Director of Reprogression of California; Director of Economic and Community Development, and then Acting Municipal Administrator, for Oakland, California; and chief economic adviser to former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown.
Bill Emerson, CEO, will retain the position of vice president at Bedrock and Rock Holdings Inc.
Among those who have left Bedrock in more than two years: Jim Ketai, former president of the company; Dan Mullen, former executive vice president of commercial development and, before that, former president; and Howard Luckoff, the former attorney general. Emerson is making his moment as interim CEO.
Cullen joined Gilbert in 2008 after working for nearly 3 decades for General Motors Co., mainly in economic development, earning credits for persuading GM to buy and move its headquarters to the Renaissance Center.
Earlier this year, Bedrock recruited Lawrence McLaughlin, who spent more than 4 decades as a candidate for Detroit-based law firm Honigman LLP to serve as Director of Development and Executive Vice President.
