German luxury carmaker Audi has announced a price increase across its entire Indian portfolio, which will take effect from June 2024. This will be the second price increase for Audi cars in 2024, following the first price review in January. The revision will apply to all Audi models in India, adding electric vehicles.
According to Audi, its cars will undergo an upward revision in value of up to 2 percent. However, the magnitude of the increase is likely to still vary between models. The explanation given for this increase in value is the increase in revenue and transportation costs, which are passed on to buyers in a planned manner.
Commenting on emerging market stocks, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Managing Director of Audi India, said: “Rising input costs force us to increase values by up to 2% from June 1, 2024. The value correction aims to ensure “Sustainable expansion for Audi India and our intermediary partners. As always, we are working to ensure that the impact of emerging costs is as minimal as imaginable for our customers. “
