“The White Lotus”
While Sicily is known for its truffles, “The White Lotus” stars Aubrey Plaza and Meghann Fahy were looking for another type of mushroom production.
The Season 2 duo explored Mushroom Sicily, Plaza said on “Late Night with Seth Myers. “
“We were in the mushrooms. I don’t know if, for example, maybe his parents don’t like it. . . We took a small one,” Plaza said, mentioning that Fahy had already told host Myers the same story, minus one key detail. Fahy once told Myers that she and Plaza got lost on a hike and Plaza was frightened by a “motorcycle gang” on the way back.

“A lot of other people have talked about gender politics and sexual politics and satire of the privileged — this all happens, but when I look at it, I also feel like I’m seeing a series of characters drawn in an engaging way yearning for some kind of connection,” co-star Will Sharpe told IndieWire. who plays Plaza’s husband in the on-screen series. “We’re really looking to get a sense of Ethan and Harper’s story.
