Aston Villa enthusiasts have expressed their opinion on rumours linking Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim to the vacant command post.
Steven Gerrard relieved himself of his duties last night after the 3-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage, which saw Villa slip to 17th place in the Premier League, with only a goal difference separating them from the relegation zone.
According to The Athletic, it is possible that Villa will now turn to former Benfica midfielder and current Sporting boss Ruben Amorim when the search for Gerrard’s successor begins. , however, a really long release clause would have to be respectable to obtain it.
