Aston Villa suffers a blow at Newcastle before the Manchester United clash

Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez had to faint before the break of the clash with Newcastle United this afternoon.

Martinez was hit in the head by Tyrone Mings on the knee as Villa defended a center. After staying on the pitch for about 14 minutes, the goalkeeper was unable to continue and was replaced in the 35th minute.

Robin Olsen replaced him to make his Premier League appearance for Villa.

Swedish foreigner Villa’s last game last season at Manchester City with Martinez injured.

Villa are looking for back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season at Newcastle. Martinez may miss the clash with Manchester United next weekend.
