Aston Villa enthusiasts have been suggested not to get carried away after watching their team pull off a surprise 4-0 win over Brentford at Villa Park on Sunday.
It’s the club’s first game since Steven Gerrard was sacked as manager following Thursday’s 3-0 loss to Fulham and started in the best way when Leon Bailey scored in the 1st minute. A brace from Danny Ings allowed the hosts to score three goals in the 14th minute. , before Ollie Watkins scored a fourth in the second half.
It is only the third win of the season for Villa, who are 3 points above the Premier League relegation zone after the weekend’s results. With Aaron Danks on the bench on a temporary basis, there is hope that the club can cancel its season from here.

But former England striker Lianne Sanderson warned Villa not to get ahead of himself after enjoying a bounce from guys from a new coach. He was also speechless about the team’s point of functionality given the mediocrity of its game this season.
“I don’t think other people can get carried away, because we all know that when a new manager or an interim manager comes in and makes decisions, the players (react),” the former Arsenal and Chelsea player told Sky Sports.
“But then I said to myself, ‘How can there be so much difference?’It wasn’t just 3 days ago that they were betting against Fulham and they were so bad that enthusiasts were asking Gerrard to leave. He wonders: How did this happen?”
Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell agreed, adding that Gerrard may have an idea that “they never did that for me. “He continued, “That’s what you think sometimes, because you need players to walk through brick walls to show that will. And it’s like the breaks are over. “
