The teaser continues on Aston Martin.
On Monday, Aston Martin released a teaser symbol for the upcoming Vantage, revealing much more than just a taillight.
The upcoming Vantage features sculpted air vents in the front fenders that lead to the doors. Large expanses of threshold can be noticed that look like they were taken from a Formula 1 race car. The rear fenders are widely domed to cover the large wheels and tires. The mirror housings have been updated to incorporate turn signals.
Camouflaged prototypes in coupe and convertible form showed that the next update will come with new styling up front with larger headlights. A more conservative grid will mark a return to classic Aston form.
Mercedes-Benz AMG’s 4. 0-liter twin-turbo V8 from the existing Vantage is expected to be retained. The power is unknown, in the DB12 this engine has an output of 671 hp. The current Vantage has 503 horsepower.
Changes to the chassis design are expected, such as retuned shock absorbers, stiffer anti-roll bars, and an electronically controlled rear differential.
As with the latest DB12, expect internal quality to be the focal point of the upgrade, as well as more capable technology.
The V-12 engine and manual transmission are expected to return with the arrival of the updated Vantage.
