According to Italian media, Ferrari has its technical director Enrico Cardile for Aston Martin.
Enrico Cardile, 49, could go to Silverstone to sign for Aston Martin before the end of the year, while Italian media claim the Scuderia has lost its manager due to a tempting offer from Aston Martin.
The highly Italian publication Formu1a. uno has reported that Cardile will leave for Aston Martin later this year, with Ferrari filling the void left as Loic Serra will take over Cardile’s duties in the pace of Ferrari’s chassis development.
Serra will oversee the progress of the 2025 Ferrari and direct the team’s efforts towards the new 2026 regulations, according to the report, and Serra has already proven to be destined for Ferrari to start painting at Maranello on October 1.
As Ferrari demonstrated last month, Serra is guilty of overseeing track engineering, aerodynamic progression and operations, as well as the performance of the vehicle.
Diego Tondi remains in aerodynamic rhythm.
When asked for comment on Cardile’s arrival, the Aston Martin spokesperson told PlanetF1. com: “The Aston Martin Aramco F1 team is a very interesting undertaking with Lawrence Stroll’s vision, a next-generation campus and exciting partnerships with Aramco and Honda.
“There are many other high-level people in all the spaces of the team connected to the project, but we have nothing to announce. “
Scuderia Ferrari also reached out via PlanetF1. com, with the Scuderia claiming that Cardile is part of their organisation.
Cardile has been at Ferrari for almost 20 years, and in 2005 she joined the paint of racing versions of the GT, contributing to the winning designs of the 24 Hours of Daytona, Le Mans and several WEC titles.
He joined the Scuderia’s F1 programme in 2016 as head of aerodynamic development and became vehicle allocation manager in 2017. Progressing rapidly, he was appointed manager of vehicle allocation and aerodynamics in 2019.
Just over 12 months later, he was appointed head of Ferrari’s functionality progression branch and will oversee Ferrari’s F1 chassis from 2021. He appointed technical director of Chassis and Aerodynamics in 2023, with the existing SF-24 under his responsibility.

? Adrian Newey receives strong arguments to reject Ferrari after claiming ‘secret’ to Aston Martin
The hypothesis about Cardile comes at a time when Aston Martin is also heavily linked to Adrian Newey, PlanetF1. com known that serious talks have taken place between the two parties, adding a factory for Newey.
However, Newey is also strongly connected to Ferrari, as the groups compete for the name of the prominent car designer. Newey’s tenure at Red Bull ends in mid-2025, leaving him a free agent if he decides to continue his F1 career after hinting he would take a sabbatical once his contract with Milton Keynes expires.
Newey’s main candidates appear to be Ferrari and Aston Martin, with manager Eddie Jordan playing a key role in his future negotiations.
