Arizona Cardinals point to loose corner agent Dr. Kirkpatrick

The Cardinals announced on Sunday that they had signed a one-year contract with corner free agent Dr. Kirkpatrick and, in a corresponding move, with corner Duke Thomas.

Kirkpatrick, 30, has started 67 of his 99 nfl regular-season games, all with the Bengals, and has 302 career tackles, 10 interceptions and 65 passes defended.(No.17 in general) outside Alabama in 2012.

According to ProFootballFocus research, Kirkpatrick allowed the fourth lowest final touch percentage (21.7) in pitches aimed at 20 meters or more downstream since 2007.

It is the third corner signed by the Cardinals in so many days after the addition of loose agents BWWebb and Ken Crawley. However, Kirkpatrick is expected to intervene and update the injured Robert Alford as the club’s right corner against the perennial Pro Bowl performer Patrick Peterson.

Alford suffered a tear in the pectoral muscle education field and was placed in the injured reserve, meaning he will probably miss his moment in the consecutive season since signing with the Cardinals as the Falcons’ loose agent.

By hiring Kirkpatrick, the Cardinals will remain in the second year as a professional Byron Murphy Jr. as the first smooth twist and won’t move him in front of Peterson.

In Arizona, Kirkpatrick will meet with defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, who trained the Bengals defensive backs from 2014 to 2015.Kirkpatrick averaged 13.3 break passes in Cincinnati from 2015 to 2017.La last season he was limited to six games due to a hyper-extended knee.he still controlled 41 tackles and nine defensive passes. He missed three games last year due to a shoulder injury.

Joseph says that he and Kirkpatrick have grown since the early days in Cincinnati, and are pleased to bring a corner that, like Webb and Crawley, had some familiarity with their system, either directly through Joseph or other coaches.

“He was a young boy who was coming quickly,” Joseph said on Sunday.”He’s had a wonderful year in this league and he’s excited to be here. He’s very familiar with the maximum of our system, but some things have happened.”replaced in the last 4 to five years regarding my system. So we’re glad to have Dre here, and let’s see how it goes.”

The Bengals freed Kirkpatrick March.
