LANSING, Michigan – The Michigan Security Conference (MSC) announced that Jason Anglin, an Ann Arbor resident of Christman Constructors Inc., founded in Lansing, received the prestigious Darryl C. Hill Safety Professional of the Year 2020 award.
The MSC is committed to frequently obtaining better protection in Michigan workplaces through education and covers protection in all industries in the state, adding fitness, manufacturing, retail, structure and fitness. The Darryl C. Hill Safety Professional of the Year Award is the highest honor awarded annually to a Michigan fitness or protection professional who has had a positive effect on the protection and physical fitness of the state.
Winners are nominated through their colleagues and reviewed through a panel of occupational protection experts. The award is named after Darryl C. Hill, Ph.D., CSP, Senior Vice President of Security at First Group America. Previous winners come with security professionals from Ford Motor Company, Target Corp., Trinity Health, Chrysler and Michigan Road Builders Association.
“As chief security officer of Christman Constructors Inc., Jason is identified nationally as one of our state’s most powerful and top professional protection leaders because his determination and attention to detail literally save the lives of Michigan residents,” said MSC EXECUTIVE Director Denise McGinn.
MSC is also “proud to recognize Christman Builders’ commitment to maintaining a corporate culture that promotes excellence in protection and health,” said MSC Awards Committee Chairman Terry Fisk, Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene Consultant.
“Implementing more productive practices to strengthen worker protection and prevent injuries demonstrates Jason and Christman’s true commitment to protecting control and staff,” Fisk said. in many projects focused on measures that have proven to be a good fortune measurable to save the injuries, ailments and deaths of workers, while contributing to the performance of the company.
He is identified for playing a key role in leading partnership efforts with MIOSHA, which have consistently produced effects above industry averages and continue to offer prices to the entire structure industry in Michigan and beyond.
Two express examples of Christman’s transformational leadership with MIOSHA are: – serve as a protection leader in MIOSHA for the new headquarters of the American Accident Fund in Lansing. Anglin has worked for Christman Constructors as Director of Security since 2014. In the past he worked as an assignment security manager for more than six years at The Christman Company, starting in 2009.
Prior to joining Christman, Jason spent 14 years working in the area of security and assignment control in construction, surroundings and geology. He graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1994 with a double degree in science in geology and anthropology. He continued his career progression with business law courses at Kennesaw State University. Anglin and his wife, Maria, a true real estate agent, live in Ann Arbor.
