There are a variety of new visitors staying at a luxury hotel in The White Lotus Season 2, but this time, rich and tough travelers find themselves at the Hawaiian Season 1 hotel.
Instead, they head to Sicily, where they will say at the luxurious White Lotus resort.
As in season 1, the White Lotus Hotel will space out much of the drama, and the setting will be a component of the series’ dramatic plot.

The White Lotus told Newsweek all about filming the new season in Sicily.
Season 2 of The White Lotus filmed at the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace in Taormina, Sicily.
The city of Taormina is a hill on the east coast of Sicily, near Mount Etna, an active volcano.
The charming hotel, located on a rocky promontory above the Ionian Sea, offers perspectives of the ocean, Mount Etna and the Greek theatre, Teatro Antico di Taormina.
With origins dating back to the fourteenth century, the building was a convent before being remodeled into a luxury hotel in 1896. It has housed notable former figures such as Oscar Wilde, Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn.
Today you can visit the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace, which features wonderful amenities such as a clifftop infinity pool, a spa, and award-winning restaurants. Suites range from $1,000 per night to over $6,000 for the Princess Suite.
Aubrey Plaza, who plays Harper in The White Lotus Season 2, told Newsweek how the Sicilian setting influenced the display of the Hawaiian stage from Season 1.
She shared, “I think the environment is a component of the exhibition. It’s like a character, the place. So I think the exhibit is very influenced by the power of being on this Italian volcanic island and I think the exhibit is more aimed at sexual politics than the cold, colonialism and, in my opinion, cash and the kinds of issues that the first season dealt with. So I think that’s it, there’s a slight change in direction. There’s a lot about relationships and cheating, jealousy. , sex, things like that. “
Plaza added that it was “beautiful” to film in Sicily, adding: “It’s breathtaking. It’s a bit like a dream. It’s very dreamy to live there for so long. “
Filming for season 2 began in February 2022, with the hotel closed to visitors until April 2022, when the cast and crew moved into the hotel.
Scenes outside the hotel in The White Lotus Season 2 filmed at Lumina Studios in Rome and in and around Sicily.
The public can recognize the Cathedral of Noto, in southeastern Sicily in the new series, and the capital Palermo.
According to Elite Daily, the scenes were filmed at La Cambusa restaurant on Giardini Naxos beach.
Jennifer Coolidge, who plays Tanya, said the set “doesn’t look real” on screen.
She said effusively, “It was bigger than it looks on screen. I mean, I know it’s very unlikely if you haven’t been to Sicily, but it doesn’t really seem real. These landscapes of the sea and those giant kinds of rock formations coming out of the sea, it just doesn’t seem real. “
