AMHERST, N. Y. (WKBW) — Amherst police are investigating a crash that closed a portion of westbound I-290 Saturday morning.
The accident occurred shortly after 11 a. m. between Millersport Highway and I-990.
Police said a motorcycle crashed into the back of a vehicle as the two were traveling westbound on I-290.
The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old from Cheektowaga, is being treated at the CMTC for serious head, back and wrist injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 39-year-old from Buffalo, was not injured.
No fees have been charged. Anyone with information or photographs of the destination turn is asked to contact the Amherst Police Department at (716) 689-1311.
