All new Skodas will arrive in Australia in 2024

Skoda is expected to unveil its first electric car along with a fleet of upgrades and new generations for its petrol range until the middle of next year.

After long periods of slow production due to pandemic shortages (and delays on key models), the company is expected to make 2024 its busiest year for all-new models, refurbishments or new variants since it returned to Australia in 2007.

Among them is Skoda’s first electric vehicle, the Enyaq midsize SUV, which is now expected to hit showrooms in October 2024, a little later than the announced July 2024, pending delays.

It is expected to be unveiled in at least two styling lines: a 210 kW rear-wheel-drive vintage edition and the 250 kW high-performance all-wheel-drive RS, alongside the Volkswagen ID. 4 and ID. 5. which are estimated at around $77,000.

Skoda Australia says the Enyaq will play a key role in helping it meet the upcoming emissions criteria for new cars, as many of its petrol models exceed their CO2 targets, despite the use of small turbocharged engines.

Three new variants introduced in the first three months of the year at the lower end of its model lineup (the Kamiq Run-Out, the base model Karoq and the Octavia Sportline) will soon be followed by a launch deal on the Kodiaq Sportline.

In June and July respectively, refreshments will be planned for the Kamiq small SUV and the Scala small sedan, with revised and new-generation styling, as well as a basic edition of the Fabia City Hatchback in July.

The arrival of the Enyaq in October is expected to be followed by the refreshed midsize Octavia sedan and estate, as well as the next-generation Kodiaq seven-seater SUV in November.

Between January and March 2025, the new generation of Superb giant sedans and estate cars will arrive, with a 2. 0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and 195 kW, as well as a new Kodiaq RS from April to June.

Skoda Australia has expressed interest in a new version of electric cars that will launch in Europe until 2026, adding a pickup truck and a seven-seater SUV, but neither is reserved for local showrooms.

The estimates indexed below were provided through Skoda Australia and are correct as of early April 2024 and could be subject to unforeseen delays at a later date.
