Alfa Romeo announces a special Intensa series for the entire range, as well as a new Junior AWD model

Alfa Romeo enthusiasts have been patiently waiting for the arrival of the upcoming Giulia and Stelvio models, but before that happens, they will be able to enjoy more special edition models. The company announced that the models of the Intensa special series will still be presented at the Brussels Motor Show. In January, along with the new Junior Ibrida Q4, it shows an electrified edition with all-wheel drive of Alfa’s new smaller model.

The new Junior Ibrida Q4 mirrors the specifications of the very similar Jeep Avenger 4Xe, making it the AWD edition of the small SUV recently found in the range.

The electrified powertrain comprises a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, a small battery pack, and two electric motors (one per axle). The ICE generates 134 hp (100 kW / 136 PS), and each electric motor contributes another 28 hp (21 kW / 29 PS).

The Junior Ibrida Q4 has 4 driving modes (Dynamic, Natural, Q4 and Advanced Efficiency) and is the only Junior in its range equipped with independent rear suspension. According to the company, all-wheel drive is available even with a low battery.

The Italian automaker also announced the Intensa special series for Junior, Tonale, Giulia and Stelvio, releasing some breakthroughs to change things up. The models will feature external and internal touches, as well as a long list of generous amenities.

Specific elements of the Intensa come with a revised dial design for the wheels, which are finished in Dark Miron Grey with soft gold accents. The new shoes measure 18 inches for the Junior, 19 inches for the Giulia and 20 inches for the Tonale and Stelvio. All models will feature black brake calipers with gold Alfa Romeo lettering and black external accents.

Specifically for the Giulia and Stelvio Intensa, Alfa Romeo designers added the colors of the Italian flag to the mirror housings, aluminum accents inside the cabin, a fire-colored center armrest and a matching set of stitching.

In the Intensa trim of the recently refreshed Tonale, the interior will be finished in Alcantara with beige inserts and a mix of beige and beige stitching. The smallest Junior will be the last to arrive, with Alcantara upholstery with tan and anthracite gray stitching.

We will be told more about the special edition Alfa models at the Brussels Motor Show from January 10 to 19. The Alfa Romeo stand will offer the Intensa versions of the Tonale and Stelvio, in addition to the Junior 280 Veloce and the 33 Stradale.

The company promised that the year 2025 would be marked by “the launch of a wide variety of core innovations, capable of exciting Alfisti enthusiasts around the world. “
