Activity will increase tenfold at Advanced Auto Fabrication’s new facility in Deer Park, says co-owner Hank Moore.
Advanced Auto Fabrication LLC is building a new $2. 6 million, 22,000-square-foot vehicle manufacturing and garage complex that is recently under construction in the City of Deer Park.
Hank Moore, co-owner of Advanced Auto Fabrication, says the development, which is expected to be completed this summer, includes a 12,000-square-foot auto production and machine shop with offices and a separate 9,000-square-foot vehicle garage on an 8-acre parcel of land on two hundred N. Cedar Road. in Deer Park.
“We have a covered and garage area and a good-sized paved parking lot for the business,” Moore says. “The structures are in place. The asphalt has fallen. The lawn is finished and. . . We still put gravel for the parking lot. For the most part, though, the exterior is pretty well maintained.
He adds: “Inside the building, we moved in and settled in and we have to paint in the shower. “
Moore, who co-owns Advanced Auto Fabrication with his wife, Samantha, says the company moved from a smaller warehouse in Spokane Valley and is currently open to the public while the structure is finalized.
“We’re still not doing the business we were doing in Spokane, but other people don’t realize we’re open again,” he says.
Stevens Construction LLC, in Newman Lake, is the contractor for the project. No architect is involved in the design of the project, Moore says.
Construction began about a year ago, about a year after J
Moore and her spouse Jim Dinneen are co-owners of J
Advanced Auto Fabrication manufactures and develops traditional parts, adding turbo configurations and intake and exhaust components. The company can perform other production work to achieve maximum functionality as needed.
Most of Advanced Auto Fabrication focuses on high-performance and race cars, but the company can also service everyday cars, Moore says.
Some of the company’s consumers are other specialty vehicle retail outlets in the U. S. Owners of U. S. race cars and hot rods.
“We have consumers who own race cars who drop them off with us and then put us on the track to drive their cars. Then we take them back to our shop and get them ready to run, where we transport a complete car. “Car maintenance service racing,” says Moore. “We plan to receive the cars individually, like a concierge service. “
The garage building can accommodate about 60 vehicles, Moore says.
Advanced Auto Fabrication has seven workers who specialize in BMW maintenance, but they also supply many other car brands, including Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo.
The company is hiring lately, Moore adds.
“We paint cars from all over the world and we also have consumers all over the region. We will make pick-ups and deliveries. . . We’re a very different company,” he says.
Overall, Moore says the company’s move to Deer Park is a smart move in many ways.
“It’s farther away for some of our consumers and closer for others,” Moore says. “In any case, we’re a kind of destination store. It’s actually taken away some of the day-to-day activities of what we do and we’ve felt it a little bit, but overall I think it’s going to be ten times bigger because the domain here is available very temporarily and there aren’t enough (stores) here. “
The Moores grew up near Deer Park and have been living in the community lately. So the new advertising site has cut the couple’s work by an hour a day, he says.
Advanced Auto Fabrication’s proximity to Deer Park Airport, located at 712 N. Cedar Road, also deserves business, he says.
“Our resources are the opposite of those of the airport. We’re only 800 meters or less from the airport entrance, which is smart for us because our stuff tends to make noise,” he says. “We are already working with other people at the airport to manufacture some aeronautical products. This is definitely a smart thing to do in all areas.
