Acura’s next-generation MDX gets a major internal update

Acura released a lot of new MDX teasers on Thursday, this time appearing as the inside of its next-generation SUV. We had our first glimpse of the new MDX last week, in a very radiant teaser that results directly from an ’80s video. We are pleased that Acura continues with this neon theme with those new photos.

The new MDX will be released as a prototype on Wednesday, October 14, but even though this prestige is not over, it deserves to give us a pretty clever concept of what we can expect from Acura’s next-generation three-row SUV. The corporate confirms that the prototype will feature open pore wood, hand-lined leather with French seams and padded front seats and massagers.

Technologically, the MDX turns out to be full of smart things, with a high-definition infotainment display, a high-end ELS audio system with 25 speakers, LED ambient lighting and a fully virtual set of indicators. It is not known whether Acura’s infotainment generation will be different from what is discovered in the new TLX sedán, the center screen looks a little larger here in the MDX.

Overall, even in those teasers, we like what we see. The two-tone guide wheel is something that is not usually placed outdoors in luxury cars, and the seating seams are fantastic. The overall design of the cabin reminds us. a lot of TLX, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, even if the center console is a little busy and still has that huge dynamic mode button in between.

We’ll have the full scoop on the Acura MDX when it officially crashes next week, so go back in time to learn more.
