LEELANAU COUNTY — On March 28 at 11:31 a. m. , the Leelanau County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 9300 block of South West Bay Shore Drive to receive a report of a car crash in which a vehicle crashed into a residence.
Officers who arrived at the scene said a 2024 Subaru Silver, which ran through a 22-year-old Suttons Bay woman, was heading south when it left the road to the right.
The vehicle then drove through five residential yards, struck several objects attached to desks before hitting the porch of a residence, causing serious damage, then swerved and stopped in front of the bridge of a nearby residence, the MPs said.
The driver of the vehicle searched Elmwood Township for injuries. Fire and Rescue before being released from the scene, MPs said.
The initial investigation concluded that alcohol and drugs were not involved in the crash, police said.
