Pirouette Bridge

ATAH

56

Pirouette Bridge is located in Yanhe Park in Mai-Gao District, Nanjing, China. According to ancient records, “Gao” means the plateaus above the water’s edge. The site’s mountainous terrain and folds woven along the river not only naturally provide the neighborhood’s unique landscape textures, but also cause the lack of communication on both sides. Therefore, the bridge design aims to provide new connectivity to the regional park community. Given the difference in height from the banks of the river, the design technique transforms the complexity of the terrain into a new delight when crossing the river and incorporates the river embankment, the pedestrian path, the motorcycle path and the outdoor occasion area in classic form.

Vincent Lavergne Architecture Urbanism

Our commission for a new headquarters of the National Forestry Office addresses the urban transformation of Maisons-Alfort and new ecological situations demanding through the use of carpentry. The wood design not only offers wonderful design flexibility, but also allows the creation of spacious and welcoming workspaces. Like a tree, a vertical axis of several floors of offices radiating around it. The wooden curtain that unifies the entire construction is used in many tactics that go beyond its number one structural function.

Arca Group Archive

Esrawe Studio

From an accidental residual domain, the assignment arises. It looks like an underground crack in the foundations of corporate dominance in Mexico City. After the good fortune of the design and warehouse concept of Grupo Arca in Guadalajara, the concept arises to transform this discovery into a multifunctional domain fed through the values of the brand and integrating a cultural component. Not only to offer the most productive variety of materials, but also to influence the network by integrating a cultural component, allowing to host exhibitions and outputs of exclusive materials, and spread the cultural link through design and architecture. Conferences.

Mausoleum of Revelations

Studio AI

56

LONDON-based AI Studio has revealed plans for an installation at the popular Burning Man festival, now cancelled for this year due to the Covid-19 crisis. The proposal to build a pavilion encouraged through the mausoleum of Lenin, an emblematic representation of the Soviet era and the last resting position of the revolutionary leader Vladimir Lenin. The AI Studio pavilion reinterpretes a typical enclosed tomb, like an open and permeable space. Unlike Lenin’s original mausoleum, the “mausoleum of revelations” celebrates enlightened life; each pole is the symbol of a human being or a tree suffering towards the sun.

Noua Workshop

The architect conceptualized a museum and exhibition area that reflect the symbol of the ancient capital. Working with the existing remains, it was essential not to overload them yet, but to create a new life around them. The intentions of the design were to maintain the ancient heritage of the remains by adding a feeling of freshness and infusing a new life, thus highlighting the contrast between the old and the new. The design envisaged keeping the remains in their original state, so he took a metal frame to reconstruct the old layout of the church referencing his old photos.

The Flower of the Tower

Architects VHA

56

The architects of VHA have just presented a new project, like a flower sprouting from a cloud. The tower looks like a giant sculpture, structuring 27 12 m high metal modules stylized as a lotus flower (pure goodness of Buddhism) hooked to others, elevating the coffee domain of 600m2 to an altitude of 8 m adding an internal well. The entire roof domain is designed as a lawn to grow giant confetti and a giant domain for visitors to appreciate the surrounding landscape.

The Green City is a manifesto of how we expand our towns and neighborhoods in the future, based on sustainable and habitable approaches, giving priority to urban spaces where we socialize, understanding the express situations of the site, the scale of buildings, the appropriate combination of systems, the systems of wooden structure and the variety of centers and amenities necessary for the virtual age. The core of this master plan is a chain of open green spaces that connects all other grades and street systems, with an emphasis on the use of pedestrian zones ensuring interaction between all other systems and users.
