CORONER IDENTIFIES INDIANA WOMAN SHOT DEAD BY OFFICER WHO TRIED TO RUN OVER
Police said the officer was at a motel Tuesday looking for a man wanted for allegedly violating probation situations for possession of a weapon. The guy parked in the motel parking lot and the officer approached the Jeep.
A police shooting was reported in Lincoln, Nebraska, after a suspect driving toward a police officer hit a man who jumped out of his Jeep (Fox News).
Police said the 35-year-old suspect got into the Jeep and crashed into the police car, then drove back before heading toward the officer, who fired at the Jeep and struck the driver. Meanwhile, a 39-year-old female passenger was freed from the Jeep and run over. They had to be freed from underneath the vehicle.

The driver is in jail on several charges, including first-degree assault, attempted first-degree assault on a police officer, use of a deadly weapon, and resisting arrest with a deadly weapon.
