A detective takes stock of Marilane Carter’s disappearance: a brief impediment to the hotel ‘very strange’

KANSAS SEARCH MOTHER FOR CHANGES IN THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AFTER HER HUSBAND’S PLEASURE

Blake Larsen, the lead detective in the case with the Overland Park Police Department, told America’s Newsroom that they were able to verify that the woman was there through a video from a nearby fuel station.

Multi-state search is “extremely difficult,” said Larsen, who works more than 400 kilometres away.

Carter’s car, a grey 2011 Acadia GMC, is also missing, but the detective said it would be difficult to get a vehicle into the river and, if so, there would be apparent symptoms of an entrance.

Carter’s mother said that when she spoke to him mid-vacation, she described being disoriented and losing her vacation in Alabama.

“No one understood exactly why he wanted to leave that night and what was going through his head looking to leave,” Larsen said. “I spoke to the circle of relatives – husband, mother, brother-in-law – and I think everyone knew she was looking for intellectual help, but I don’t think they knew how much of a crisis sheArray”

Investigators know he left Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City, on August 1 and stopped at a hotel in West Plains, Missouri, where he stayed for two hours and 20 minutes.

“It’s the first time we’ve seen her in a video and she shows she’s alone,” Larsen said. “She doesn’t look under pressure and her vehicle is in the video.”

“We think it shows that he is in a crisis of intellectual aptitude, even though he looks indifferent when he enters and leaves the hotel,” Larsen said. “It seemed to be in the hotel for over two hours. It’s disturbing.

“Thank you very much for your words of encouragement. We see this and we just want to thank them and keep praying so that we can have Marilane at home, she misses our 3 children, I miss her, and we are at home,” he said.
