PLANTATION — The dead man who was found in a Broward County canal on Saturday was involved in a Thursday motorcycle crash, police said.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist, known only as a 40-year-old white man from Hollywood, was involved in a fatal twist of fate on a nearby motorcycle.
At approximately 4:23 a. m. on Thursday, the man was driving a green 2013 Kaaki motorcycle and heading north on State Road 91 at the Sunrise Boulevard off-ramp within the city limits of Plantation. According to FHP, the motorcyclist involved in a twist of fate on the ramp and fell into the nearby canal parallel to Sunrise.
Firefighters and authorities responded to the scene but were unable to locate the motorcyclist because they knew he had fallen into the canal at the time, the FHP said.
Later Saturday, Plantation firefighters and authorities responded to a report of a dead frame discovered in a canal in the area of East Acre Drive and Pine Terrace. Further investigation revealed on Sunday that the frame of the canal was the motorcyclist.
The cases that led to the motorcycle’s turn of fate are being investigated lately.
