A Canada Motorcycle Tour for Mental Health Takes Place at Christina Lake

A group of traveling motorcycles cross the border with a health message for Canadian Air Force veterans and first responders, while Christina Lake firefighters invite everyone to come and cheer them on as they pass through the community.

 

Rolling Barrage is conducting its annual run across Canada with a scheduled stop in Christina Lake on August 16. The group, along with local runners who sign up for them on portions of the route, will stop in the community, have lunch, and meet and greet at the fireplace station before heading east.

 

The organization will be welcomed by members of the Christina Lake Volunteer Fire Department, who will park their trucks along Bakery Frontage Road, Chief Joe Geary said. The ministry encourages everyone who wants to travel to sign up to welcome them.

 

“We’ll be there to cheer them on, give them lunch, refuel them and see them off,” Chief Geary said. “They will be greeted through our lights and sirens on our trucks and we are looking forward to a lot. ” of other people will come out and show them some love. We appreciate the work you are doing to teach first responders and members of the military about intellectual health. Therefore, we are pleased to lend a hand and welcome them to the community.

 

The leg of their Christina Lake excursion is day 20 of their national race, according to the group’s website. On that day, they will start in Cranbrook and end in Princeton.  

 

Since 2016, the organization has been raising funds and awareness about PTSD among first responders and the military, donating to formulas that serve those who serve the country, its online project page says. Its vision is to become an ongoing formula for building intellectually physical resilience across the country, where other people can find trust, connection and understanding.  

 

In addition to the runners, The Rolling Barrage will also have a merchandise truck with them so others can purchase branded pieces from them as part of their fundraising efforts.
