In his disguise, Houser allegedly followed a prison pharmacy specialist to a controlled entry-exit area, with a garbage bag. An officer suggested that he show an ID, which he did provide, so the guard ordered him to pass inside.
But after obeying, he lost sight of it and slid through the door when the criminal pharmacist left the building. Once outdoors, he allegedly climbed onto an outdoor fence and stole the truck from a nearby structure site.

Spring Lake police recaptured him later that night, the state said.
