SACRAMENTO, California (AP) – A 9-year-old woman died and three others were injured in a car shootout Saturday in Sacramento, police told FOX40. com and Sacramento Bee television.
The shooting took place at 1:10 p. m. in a park in the community of Del Paso Heights north of the city, and a woguy, a boy and a 6-year-old woguy were injured, police said.
Police spokesman Officer Karl Chan told the bee that a circle of relatives was gathering in Mama Marks Park when an armed man arrived and shot them.
The 9-year-old woman died at the site, The Bee reported. Police said the 6-year-old woman was in solid condition and the woman in critical condition.
Police told the bee that a man had taken the hospital with a gunshot wound and is in good condition, police said.
Chan told the bee that the location of the shoot was “a very moving scene. “
Officers are investigating a link between a gang and the shooting, Chan told the bee.
There’s no data on any suspects, the police told the paper and the TV channel.
