The commercial car rental company Trott Rentals, which is recently located on Hurricane Way in the airport’s commercial area, needs to move to a new warehouse on Holt Road.

The company, which rents cars up to 44 tons, said its Hurricane Way is restricted in terms of design and size, which features logistical disorders that hinder the operation and efficiency of the company.

They claimed that congestion disorders at peak time of the surrounding commercial domain were also “obstacles” to the company, so they sought to move to a premises built and designed for this purpose.

The deposit, which would employ 8 people full-time, would come with a rental car maintenance area, a small and giant rental car garage area. The company says this would allow it to operate more efficiently.

However, other people living on Holt Road, across the street from the site, have raised objections. They were involved on the effect on congestion and road safety.

Hellesdon Parish Council also opposed it, raising considerations about the effect of increased heavy vehicle traffic during peak hours of the day and road protection access to and from Holt Road, i.e. in favor of the proposed expansion of East Anglian Air Ambulance headquarters and the proposed relocation of the recycling tank right next to Northern Distributor Road.

However, in making plans, officials indicated that they would be designed to prevent cars heading north from turning right at the site.

Instead, they bypass the roundabout further north of the A140 and overtake back, before turning left to reach the site.

Road officials did not oppose the proposal. The authorization was accepted unanimously through members of the plan development committee on Thursday, August 13.

However, Green City Councillor Paul Neale and Working Councilman Ian Stutely expressed fear that the site could create a rupture in the proposed extension of the yellow motorcycle trail at Horsham St Faith.

Council officials were asked that progression situations be used only for cyclists to take precedence when creating this direction.
