A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a car crash Wednesday in northeast El Paso, police said Thursday.

Anthony Navarro, 26, was driving a Suzuki GSR motorcycle south on McCombs Street when he collided with a Nissan Maxima turning left on Squires Court from the northbound lanes of McCombs, according to a police press release.

Navarro died at the scene.

The driving force of the Maximus known to the police as José David Calvillo Ubiarco, 41, from El Paso.

The collision occurred around 11:30 a.m. on McCombs Street near Sanders Avenue in the Irvin High School neighborhood, a police spokesman said.

A police spokesman said first on Wednesday that a user was seriously injured in the accident.

The Special Police Investigations Unit is the case and the investigation is ongoing.
