I’ll admit. Devising this list has been tricky as I tested many new interesting and entrancing cars in 2024 from an array of different manufacturers.
To help relieve things, I included five cars that were wonderful to live during the trial period, and that passed me thinking. It should be noted that cars from this list are market models in the United Kingdom.
To say you went to bed thinking about a Kia 15-20 years ago would raise a few eyebrows and you’d lose a few friends, yet things are a lot other today.
The EV3 is Kia’s newest addition to its “EV” range, competing with the Volvo Ex30 and Volkswagen ID. 3. After spending a lot of time riding the larger EV9, the EV3 has touched a delicate chain in me because many EV9 designs have been implemented here.
Sure, some of its rivals are better to drive and offer more to boot, but the EV3 felt special and never failed to turn heads or conjure conversation whenever I was pottering around in it.
The input level car grants up to 270 miles of diversity, however, its inner is largely degraded in terms of quality and technology. Therefore, the long range with a larger, prettier internal battery and a diversity of 375 miles receives my vote.
Currently on my property during the holiday season, the Skoda Superb Estate has so far covered 400 miles since it landed in my hallway. It made several trips to the airport and transported relatives across Scotland during the two weeks I tried it.
£36,175 ($45,340) gets you a rugged estate with massaging front seats, a 13-inch touchscreen, front and rear parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring included as standard. Open the trunk and locate a giant 645-liter shipping area.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N was teased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2023 but arrived in the U.K. in 2024.
I admit I was a little nervous putting the Ioniq Five N through its paces on a winding and remote Scottish back road. Big words had been used in other reviews but can it only be that good?
The answer is yes. It’s so good, but it’s one. The so-called eight-speed transmission is a lot of fun to use. Forget what other people say about your device: They probably haven’t spent more than five minutes driving one.
By settling on the right sound settings and type drive, you’ll be fed a monstrous 641-hp hot hatchback experience and left a little bewildered by the anti-EV mind you may have already had.
I spent two weeks extending the campaign in a 328hp python yellow Audi S3 sedan, an absolutely happy affair. The new S3 features many of its more competitive RS3 siblings, Trick Gubbins, such as a torque splitter and front differential, plus cosmetic details.
The 0 to one hundred km/h takes 4. 7 seconds, a figure almost for the old 8V car, but innovations are especially notable when techniques of the corners with enthusiasm.
You also get new Plus dynamics, which means the S3 can use its power. It also provides for upcoming hiccups and previous downshifts and increases idle speed through two hundred rpm to off-set functionality.
Driving a supercar on a daily basis may seem like a pain in the ass to some, but the McLaren 750 can be described as a margarita cocktail with jalapenos and a splash of water.
It’ll naturally shape your hair if you drop its cleverly folding hardtop and terrify you in the most productive way imaginable as it digs into the asphalt every time you hit the fuel pedal.
If you’re not yearning for an adrenaline rush, you can simply pop it into its comfiest driving setting and it’ll offer a more humble experience.
