Affected vehicles: about 3600 Mercedes-Benz Class A 2019 sedans of the year style
The problem: The air conditioner condensation drain pipe may not be installed correctly. This can allow water to enter the front seat footrests and central tunnel area, which can also damage some electrical parts and cause further clamping formula failures, a start defect, wake-up home mode while driving and altering other Matrix that extends the threat of injury or accident.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the A/C drain hose installation, correcting it if necessary, for free.
What homeowners do: Mercedes-Benz will start notifying homeowners on September 15. Owners can call the automaker at 800-367-6372, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or scale their online page to find out their vehicle identification number and receive more information.
