2 injured in crash near Copper Sky

Two other people suffered minor injuries after a two-car crash near Copper Sky Regional Park this morning.

Maricopa police responded to the alert of a broken-down Jeep and Hyundai at West Bowlin Road and Desert Cedars Drive around 8:15 a. m.

Corporal Cory Benoit on scene directing traffic around the turn of fate as both cars were towed and debris was swept from the street.

Benoit said two other people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries as a precaution.

“Today, with airbags, we see much less serious injuries,” Benoit said. “It looks worse than it was. “

According to police, the crash was possibly due to glare, which makes visibility difficult for drivers.
