125 years of ‘KODA’: an adventure in time with twelve milestones in the history of the company

KODA AUTO embarks on an ordinary adventure through the company’s 125-year history with twelve automotive milestones. The procession, which features some of the Czech car manufacturer’s vital top models around the company’s headquarters in Mlad-Boleslav is a focus of the company’s 125th anniversary celebrations. It was decided by the diversity of cars, from the L-K Cartte A, the first car of the brand since 1905, to the still camouflaged ‘KODA ENYAQ iV’. The new electric SUV will be officially introduced later this year and foreshadows the beginning of a new era for ‘KODA’. It combines the ideas, inventions and influences of KODA’s 125-year history into a single vehicle.

From the KODA Museum to the company’s headquarters in Mlada Boleslav, where some of these cars are exhibited as exhibits, the adventure time continues in the city. The address follows the twelve old models in front of Mcely and Louee Castle, among other places. The control center of ‘KODA’ in ‘helnice’ is also in the planned circuit.

Each of the twelve milestones of this procession marked its time and added a bankruptcy to the history of the progression of KODA vehicles. The culture of the automobile manufacturer is transmitted through the LK Cartte A built between 1905 and 1907, the first generation KODA SUPERB (1934-1949) and the KODA POPULAR MONTE CARLO (1936-1939) as well as a convertible KODA FELICIA (1959). -1964), a KODA 1000 MB (1964-1969), a KODA TREKKA (1966-1972) and a KODA 110 R Coupé (1970-1980). The era from the mid-1980s to the day of supply is re-provided through FAVORIT (1987 to 1994), the first generation of fashion OCTAVIA (1996 to 2010), a “KODA YETI” (2009 to 2017), the KODA SCALA produced since 2018 and a KODA ENYAQ iV camouflaged, which will soon be delivered to the general public.

The foundation stone of KODA AUTO’s good fortune was established through founding fathers Laurin and Klement in 1905 with the L-K Voiturette A. It is the company’s first car ten years after the company’s creation, which began with the generation of motorcycles and then motorcycles. The highlight of the 1930s comes with the impressive ‘KODA SUPERB’, which was already the brand’s flagship genre at the time, providing a spacious interior and a superior point of driving comfort, and the ‘KODA POPULAR MONTE CARLO’, which, thanks to its cover box design with rear axle transmission transmission had exceptional driving characteristics. It is in honor of this special genre, which celebrated victories at the mythical Rally de Monte Carlo, that KODA brought the MONTE CARLO designation that still refers to the sports versions of the genres FABIA, SCALA and KAMIQ. Like the POPULAR MONTE CARLO, the 1959 KODA FELICIA is also a design icon. KODA has been visually reinvented with the convertible, reflecting a taste that was up to the fashion of the time.

Three models from the 1960s are also part of the range. In 1964, the “KODA” brought an independent frame in the revolutionary “KODA 1000 MB”, marking the beginning of the rear engine era. The engine block was produced by a patented aluminum die-casting procedure and underscores the highest point of mechanical engineering expertise at the Mlada Boleslav site. The rear-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive concept was also used in the 1970 ‘KODA 110 R’. The 130 RS KODA, which was a success both in rally and on the track, was then built in the two-door sports car. coupe that is still remembered. today in the RS sports models of ‘KODA’. Based on the original OCTAVIA, the TREKKA, built in New Zealand in 1966, is one of the forerunners of today’s SUVs. The SUV has been custom designed to satisfy visitors’ wishes and express market requirements.

The KODA FAVORIT is another vital step in historical cavalcade. In 1987, the front-wheel drive was announced with the compact style designed through Bertone and featured COMBI and PICKUP variants as well as a sedan. The 1996 OCTAVIA was the first ‘KODA’ style to fully evolve under the auspices of the Volkswagen Group, paving the way for the corporate to become a volume manufacturer. Its surface and attractive cash price are also an integral component of KODA’s product identity. BRAND’s successful access to the SUV segment was marked through BRAND’s successful access to the SUV segment in 2009. This segment, in which KAMIQ, KAROQ, KODIAQ and the long-term ENYAQ iV now form a full circle of SUV relatives, now opens new visitor equipment for the brand. The YETI has also enjoyed great popularity thanks to its many innovative Simply Clever ideas, such as separately adjustable VarioFlex seats. KODA brought a new design language with SCALA in 2018 and now provides an even more emotional external look in addition to the area of benefit of the brand’s features. At the same time, the manufacturer has made a leap forward in the field of connectivity: the SCALA is the first “always online” KODA.

Just as the other 11 milestones have shaped their eras, the new ‘KODA ENYAQ iV’ will have a significant effect in the coming years. It combines all the virtues of KODA, such as ingenuity, inventiveness, mastery of design and boldness with cutting-edge technologies. Represents the essence of all logo values; it’s amazing, practical and just smart. ENYAQ iV is the result of 125 years of experience in progression, creativity and hobby and leads the company towards a sustainable and electric future. The world premiere will take place in the time-off part of the year and the market position is expected to be launched for the first quarter of 2021.
