Bail was set at $100,000 cash Monday for a guy from Rison accused of stealing pieces from the site of the structure of the new Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital in White Hall in December.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Terry Davis, 25, with commercial burglary, breaking or entering and theft of property.

Reading of an affidavit from the White Hall Police Investigating Sergeant. Clayton Cantrell, Assistant District Attorney Lisa McGriff, said Dec. 27 that White Hall police were dispatched to 1500 Holland Ave. in reaction to the reported theft of a UTV, copper. cables and equipment thousands of dollars.

A construction site manager told police that it had been closed on 22 and 27 December in the meantime.

McGriff said police decided the driver of the Ford F-150 was Christopher Mercer.

McGriff said Davis was at a home in Pine Bluff and police discovered two loaded firearms and a white powder that they determined was methamphetamine weighing 56 grams.

He said Davis is currently out on bond for two felony charges and that prosecutors will revoke any of those bonds.

A second suspect, Dallas Lemons, 26, will be seen later today. Davis was told to come back to court Feb. 5.
