1.5 million and more: Jaguar Land Rover celebrates a milestone in the manufacture of blank engines

Jaguar Land Rover has produced more than 1.5 million Ingenium engines, as the British manufacturer celebrates its leading factory by adding a new range of complex power trains.

The engine production centre in Wolverhampton, UK, produces the Ingenium circle of relatives of ultra-efficient transmission systems, providing a variety of blank and electrified transmission systems for all Jaguar and Land Rover models.

The Advanced Ingenium family, which includes a variety of clean, subtle and effective diesel, gas and electrified engines, is designed to maximize functionality while environmental outage has an effect on operating prices for customers. Developed and manufactured in-house in the UK, Jaguar and Land Rover’s all-aluminum Ingenium engines are modular, flexible and scalable, with non-unusual core technologies.

The latest addition to Ingenium’s diversity is the six-cylinder diesel engine, which delivers progressive performance, smoothness and efficiency, driving the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. The ingenium diesel engine, powered by lightweight hybrid technology, joins the diversity of blank and efficient six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines manufactured at Jaguar Land Rover’s West Midlands facility.

Ingenium’s circle of scalable and effective relatives supports the company’s long-term commitment to reducing vehicle projects and fuel consumption across its entire vehicle diversity. It is a component of your Destination Zero project and your commitment to reducing electronic projects and making environments cleaner through relentless innovation.

Jaguar Land Rover will continue to expand its Ingenium technology, continue to advance in electrification of its style line and identify a concept of mobile hydrogen fuel powertrain solution. The engine production center also hosts the Electrical Transmission Sets (EDU) meeting, providing general flexibility between new gasoline and diesel and EDU engines for consumers transferring from traditional cars to electrified cars.

The Wolverhampton site is complemented by a developing electrification ecosystem in the Midlands, with the state-of-the-art and technologically complex battery meeting center near Hams Hall, which assembles PHEV and BEV batteries. Together, they will force the next generation of electrified jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.

Ken Close, Chief Operating Officer of Jaguar Land Rover, said: “We are experiencing unprecedented demand for armored vehicles, making it more than ever to supply blank and effective engines without compromising our customers’ functionality or off-road functions.” Wait.

“Our Ingenium power trains offer any of the worlds: increased fuel power and reduced emissions, and even a higher torque for more responsive and attractive driving.

The engine production centre supplies engines for Jaguar Land Rover’s global vehicle operations, with the vast majority of those power trains used in the UK-based facility, adding Solihull, home to the recently announced Range Rover and the new Range Rover Sport.

The latest six-cylinder diesel shares its manufacturing facilities with the six-cylinder petrol engine, which was successfully launched last year. These include machining of the key architecture, cylinder head, cylinder block and crankshaft, as well as the assembly and testing of the engine. The Engine Manufacturing Centre has utilised its extensive modern machining, assembly, test and metrology capability to successfully deliver one of the world’s leading clean diesel engines.
